The Versatility of Disney Cruise Line Accommodations

The one thing you have to give to Disney Cruise Line is the fact that from the executives all the way down the chain of command, people have worked hard to make sure every passenger has an amazing experience.  This means the unique decorum on the various ships, wonderful restaurant choices, adult and children activities, ports of call, and even accommodations have been carefully chosen so guests have an amazing time.  In addition to making the experience special for the person sailing, this would result in friends and family being told about all the wonderful things that Disney Cruise Line offers.

Currently, Disney Cruise Line has two ships, the Disney Wonder and Disney Magic although in 2011, two additional ships will join the fleet to include the Disney Fantasy and Disney Dream.  All of the ships for this company have 900 staterooms but keep in mind that the decorum is unique to each ship.  You would also enjoy various amenities depending on the experience you want and the budget you have established.  Listed below is information specific to accommodations to give you a better idea of what to expect.

•    Luxurious Accommodations – If you have a loose budget and enjoy being pampered, you could choose from Category 1, 2, and 3 Suites.  These accommodations are premium and dripping in elegance.  Within these categories, you would have the opportunity to choose from one or two bedroom suites, which start at 650 square feet all the way to 1,000 square feet.  In addition to expansive accommodations, these suites are simply gorgeous.  The price associated with these Disney Cruise Line accommodations is between $1,350 and $5,200 per person.

•    Deluxe Suites – If your family were comprised of five people, the Deluxe Family Suites would be an excellent choice.  For this, the price is $990 per person and in return, you would enjoy this Category 4 stateroom, which comes with a private balcony, large space, queen-sized bed, sleeper sofa, and Murphy bed, and more.

•    Moderate Accommodations – Disney Cruise Line understands that not everyone can afford top of the line accommodations so they have created moderate accommodations that are more affordable but without sacrificing on amenities, quality, and space.  For this, you would have a choice of Categories 5, 6, and 7, which includes almost 270 square feet, queen-size bed and convertible sofa, as well as a split bath that offers excellent privacy.  In addition, these staterooms have a balcony so you can enjoy amazing views from your own room.  As far as price, these staterooms begin at $740 a person, which is very affordable.

•    Ocean View Rooms – If you are taking a Disney cruise with small children, you obviously want a view of the ocean but without an actual balcony for safety reasons.  These staterooms are listed under Categories 8 and 9, as well as Deluxe Ocean rooms.  For view, these rooms have four-foot circular windows, queen-size bed and convertible sofa, and privacy divider for the bathroom, all in 214 square feet.  All this for a low price of $590 per person makes it a cost-efficient solution.

•    Smaller Cabins – If your budget is extra tight and you are traveling as an individual, couple, or even with one small child, Categories 10 and 11 offer 184 square feet and plenty of amenities.  Keep in mind that while these staterooms are in fact smaller than others are, when compared to what other cruise lines offer they are actually 35% larger.  Included in the low price of $399 per person, you would enjoy a queen-size bed and convertible sofa, as well as a privacy divider for the bathroom.

As you can see, Disney Cruise Line is very affordable and regardless of the stateroom you choose, the accommodations are spacious, beautifully decorated, and created to make your stay comfortable and safe.  Of course, most people that sail on Disney cruise ships spend little time in the stateroom, as they are involved both day and night with onboard activities, not to mention all the opportunities available off the shop when at a port of call in the Caribbean or Bahamas.
